HOW FOUR BOYS PROTECTED A 75-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FROM PRISON

Jerry Suttle received a court summons because of the high grass in her yard. According to Texas state law, lawn grass must not exceed 45 cm in height. The woman was unaware of this law.

The 75-year-old woman did not receive a letter and therefore did not show up. Failure to appear in court led to an arrest warrant being issued for the woman. The four boys heard about it and decided to help. “We didn’t know her. But she is 75 years old and can’t cut grass. It was our little help,” said one of the boys.

The heat was over 30 degrees. The boys tried to cut the grass with lawnmowers, but the adults came to help them and the work went faster. The grass was cut in two hours. Jerry’s problem was solved.
