On a day off, 16-year-old Zach Clark of Ohio was helping his mother tend her flower beds. Their neighbor, lying on the ground, was repairing a car. Suddenly something rumbled and a woman’s scream was heard.
When Zack looked back, he saw that the Volkswagen had slid off the jack and was crushing the man. He tried to get out from under the car but in vain.
“My instincts kicked in and I just ran over there, I wanted to get the car off him. I lifted the car and the neighbor’s wife and mother pulled him out and then took him to the hospital. We were all shocked by what happened.”
Doctors said that if Zach had not arrived in time, the man would have died. The injured man is recovering at home after being treated.
