How a girl and a policeman exchanged thanks

9-year-old Brooke wanted to buy doughnuts. When it was her turn, she found she was short of money. She was confused and didn’t know what to do.

Police officer Chad Savannah was behind her and he saved the day. The girl was delighted to be paid for her purchase, took the doughnuts, and ran off. But the story didn’t end there.

Brooke wrote a gratitude letter to the policeman and attached $10 to it. She took it to the police station. The police were touched by the girl’s action and bought her a $50 gift certificate to Toys R Us. The girl bought the toys, but not for herself. She gave them to Toys for Tots, a charity for children whose parents cannot buy Christmas presents.

The police officers, after hearing about the girl’s selfless act, decided to give her a tour of the police station. The girl liked the police car best.
