Guy Had to Lose Weight to Realise His Dream

Romar Lyle weighed 180 kg. He wanted to work in law enforcement, but he was hampered by excessive weight.

Although Romar had a degree in forensic science, he could not get a job. Then he started sports and began to monitor the food. «I lost almost 59 kg and was able to enter the police academy. Then thanks to persistent training I lost another 15.5 kg», – said Romar. The young man trained hard for three years.

Romar has finished his training and is now employed by a police station in Richmond. But to achieve his goal, Romar wants to lose another 11kg. “An experienced mentor once told me that in life you can get out of any situation, no matter how difficult it may seem. I want to be there for those who are struggling, feeling lost or without support. I want to protect those who, can’t protect themselves,” Romar said.

“It was one of the toughest challenges I have ever had to face. But I learnt a lot and learned valuable lessons for life,” Romar said. “Every day I wake up with a smile on my face. When I remember my journey, I realise that anything is possible,” he added.
