A girl rescued her father from a life-threatening situation by taking control of a car engulfed in flames.
Nineteen-year-old girl Charlotte Hoeffelmeyer from the state of Virginia saved her father’s life.
One day, Charlotte decided to check on her father’s progress with fixing the car. She entered the garage and saw that the car had slipped off the jack and pinned her father. Not only was he trapped, but the car also caught fire, with the fuel tank at risk of exploding at any moment.
The girl exerted superhuman effort and lifted the car. Her father crawled to safety. Charlotte jumped into the car and drove it out of the garage.
She then ran into the house to alert her mother, brothers, and sisters. After ensuring everyone was safe, she attempted to extinguish the flames with water from a hose. Soon after, the fire department arrived and put out the fire.
At the local police station, Charlotte was awarded the Citizen Life-Saving Award for saving lives.
