WHY THE TEACHER MADE GIFTS TO THE PUPILS

This story happened a year ago. Brent Walker, a mathematics teacher at a primary school in Tampa, Florida, decided to make his pupils happy for the Easter holidays.
He went to the supermarket and wanted to buy “Kinder Surprises”. But then he saw the Easter baskets of toys and candy and thought that would be a better gift for the children. However, they were more expensive.

The teacher then wrote a Facebook post about his idea to buy 20 Easter baskets for the pupils in his class. He asked if anyone could help with the funds to surprise the children. Within an hour of that post, $700 had been received, and then the amount had risen to $1,200. Brent wrote that he would now buy baskets not only for his class, but for all three primary school classes, i.e. 63 pupils.

The next day Brent arrived at school early. Colleagues helped to put out presents in the classrooms for all the pupils. It was important for Brent to give Easter presents to the children because their parents cannot afford them.
