Man gets surprise 18 years after doing good deed for wife

This story began in 2001. Laura, Wesley Ryan’s wife, was diagnosed with cancer. The medical bills were mounting by the day.

Wesley decided he had only one option: to sell his white 1993 Ford Mustang GT and pay for the treatment. With the proceeds, Laura continued her treatment and managed to overcome the disease.

Everyone in the family knew how much Wesley treasured the car. As the children grew up, they started saving up and looking for that Ford Mustang. Eighteen years after the car was sold, the children found it and bought it. Ford Motor Company learned the family story and decided to have the car repaired. Not only was it repaired, but improvements were made. The company said they were inspired by the family’s support and love for each other and their car.

When Wesley saw his Ford Mustang in the front yard, he couldn’t hold back tears.

“I never even dreamed about it. This is my first love, a car love… To have it back like this. It’s unbelievable!” – Wesley said. “It’s still it, but it’s still got a new heart,” he added. “I’m speechless. It’s beautiful!”
