A dog lost in the cold of Montana for a week finds her father. How emotional.

After nearly losing all hope, the dog owner has reunited with his 7-year-old furry companion after she was lost in the Montana wilderness for seven days.

What’s worse, the temperatures there dropped well below zero, so the poor owner never thought he’d see his dog again, but they miraculously reunited after a week apart, and it was all caught on camera!

What should have been just a relaxing walk turned into a nightmare for Roger Jacobs and his dog Salty.

The two of them went for a walk outside of Shepard, Montana a few days after Christmas, but unfortunately the English Setter got lost while exploring the nearby hills and forest.

Like any other concerned dog owner, Roger sought out his energetic dog, but unfortunately his efforts were in vain.

Roger had adopted Salty when she was only a few weeks old, so you can only imagine how he felt when his loyal dog friend was nowhere to be seen.

Here, just as he was starting to lose all hope, Salty came back in his arms and he couldn’t be happier!

“I immediately turned on the whistle and started blowing. When she didn’t come over, I knew she was gone,” Roger told KTCQ. “We searched for days, posted everything on the Internet, searched day and night. »

After nearly a week without Salty, Roger received a phone call that brought tears to his eyes.

His friend spotted the dog along the Yellowstone River somewhere between Shepard and Huntley, and he could have sworn it was Salty. So Roger hurried to check if it really was his faithful dog.

Roger’s daughter filmed the reunion with her cell phone and the moment is touching.

“Finally she heard me and ran to me. And I whistled so loudly and walked in the snow, and I was so happy, and she was very happy and cold,” the man said. “You know, we had a good meeting by the river! »
