Kasha Quest from California is just two years old, but she has an IQ (intelligence quotient) of 146. Whereas the IQ of the average American is 98.

“She learned to read at the age of 1.5, speaks Spanish and can show all 50 states on a map,” said Atwal, the girl’s mother.

“We have noticed that Kashe has a very good memory. She learns new information quickly and enjoys learning. My daughter memorised all the letters of the alphabet, numbers, colours and shapes when she was 17-18 months old,” Atwal added.

“We go at her pace and don’t impose anything. The most important thing is that she has a good childhood,” says the mother.

Kasche became the youngest member of Mensa, an American organisation that includes America’s brilliant people between the ages of 2 and 102 and has more than 50,000 members. This group includes engineers, housewives, teachers, actors and students. According to Mensa’s website, a member must have an IQ of at least 132.
