German shepherd rescued a newborn pygmy goat and wouldn’t let her leave his side.

German Shepherds are known to be one of the most popular dog breeds in America. They are born with notable intelligence and can also be called “working dogs”.

This breed is also known for its unparalleled loyalty and courage.

“They are smart and are capable of working. Their dedication and courage are unparalleled. And they’re incredibly versatile, excelling at just about everything they’re trained to: guide and assist the handicapped, serve in the police and military, reindeer herding, search and rescue, drug detection, competitive obedience, But above all, they are faithful friends,” as described by dogtime.com.

But what if a newborn pygmy goat encounters one of these gentle giants? Will these animals from different kingdoms dance to the same rhythm? Will this lead to chaos or hugs?

Meet Shadow! A German shepherd who took good care of a newborn pygmy goat and treated her like her own kind.

Shadow is a German Shepherd whose body is covered in thick, majestic white fur.

The family that owns her are known for their kindness, but little did they know that this sweet furry friend can be beyond kind.

When the newborn pygmy goat was first introduced to Shadow, she knew it was love at first sight.

Her maternal instincts triggered her love towards the goat. She began to take care of the newborn goat as if it were her own. Pygmies are a type of miniature domestic goat. Their small size makes them undeniably cute, don’t you agree?

Giant German Shepherd behaves as if she were the mother of the goat. It could also be that Shadow’s white fur tricks the goat into thinking she’s really her mother!

It looks like the newborn goat also loves Shadow and has easily accepted her warm welcome!

The little goat seemed as happy as her huge companion. She presses herself  against Shadow’s warm body and lets the German Shepherd lick and kiss her softly, with love and tenderness. Since the very first day, these two have been inseparable.
