It was a typical Monday morning for a Texas teenager who was riding his bicycle. Suddenly he felt a strong jolt after the car hit him and drove off. Then something happened that his family never expected.
Isaiah Rosie, a 16-year-old boy from Atascocita, Texas, was loved by his family and friends. The boy was known for his kind heart and caring nature, and his family wanted him to succeed.
Everything was going well in the teenager’s life until he left home that morning on his bicycle. His family had no idea that Rousey would not return home that day.
On October 17, 2022, Rousey was riding his bicycle in the early hours of the morning near 8311 FM-1960 when a nasty incident turned his life upside down.
The teenager was suddenly hit by a car and fell into a nearby ditch. According to authorities, the driver sped past instead of stopping and helping the child. Rousey’s aunt, Roxanne Gonzalez, said:
“You can’t just leave the scene of an accident. You can’t leave a person like that. People wouldn’t even leave a dog on the road like that.”

Rousey’s family didn’t know he was in trouble that morning until a kind passerby spotted him in the ditch after spotting his damaged bike. The injured teenager was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital.
The boy’s family was puzzled when they found out what had happened to him. They had heard about numerous hit-and-run incidents on television but never thought they would have to face a situation like this. Gonzalez said:
“We never thought this would happen at home.”

While Rousey’s aunt agreed he shouldn’t have been riding his bike in the early hours of the day, she also said he didn’t deserve to get into an unsafe situation in his neighborhood.
The doctors put Rousey in a medically-induced coma while they treated him for his countless injuries. His mother had never imagined she would have to see her lively son lying unresponsive on the hospital bed. She said:
“We will get through this difficult time, my son, in the name of God!”
A Great Kid
“He is a wonderful child. He’s a good kid with a good heart,” Gonzalez said, saying her nephew didn’t deserve to be run over. She asked her friends on Facebook to help her find the driver of the car that hit Rousey.
“He [Rousey] is an amazing young man, very loveable, funny, spunky, energetic, and so full of life!”
Meanwhile, the authorities continued searching for evidence that would help them locate the driver. if they knew anything about the unfortunate incident. They urged citizens to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office or Rousey’s family.

While Rousey fought for his life in the hospital, his family prayed for his recovery and hoped the authorities would soon identify the driver. Meanwhile, netizens sent messages of support to the worried family. Here are some of the comments they left on Facebook:

The Rousey family was grateful to a woman who stopped nearby and noticed him when she saw the broken bicycle. They asked people to give them some time while they try to realize what happened to their “brave and strong” boy.
