According to available information, Tom Oswald is an 18-year-old young man from South Australia who wanted to break away from the beaten path right after finishing high school.
Believing that education was over for the moment, Oswald chose to take a chance by opening a small café in the town of Hahndorf, located southeast of Adelaide.
By general consensus, the teenager invested a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money into this venture, which gave birth to a cozy little establishment where he was eager to welcome his customers.
However, Tom would have been devastated when he opened his store… and didn’t see a single customer. He turned to TikTok to share this heart-wrenching experience in a video that has since gone viral.
Tom’s heartfelt confession has been viewed over two million times, and Tom himself has gained many online fans who rushed to offer their support.

“I’m 18 years old, just out of high school, currently on a gap year, and this project is literally the only thing I’m working on,” the 18-year-old said to News Corp.
“I’m either in the workshop or out and about, looking for ways to improve the business in every way possible.
