13-year-old blind pianist Lucy won the final of The Piano competition. The performance took place on March 15 on stage at the Festival Hall in London.

Three more musicians aged 25, 26 and 27 reached the final. The selection was held as part of the show The Piano. The participants were musicians playing the piano at railway stations across the UK.

Lucy amazed passersby by playing the piano at the station in Leeds, performing a piece by Chopin. Many people filmed the girl on video. In social networks, Lucy’s performance was viewed 3.7 million times.

The girl has been studying music since she was three years old. She has autism and learning difficulties. On stage, the young pianist was with her music teacher Daniel.

At the contest, Lucy performed Debussy’s “Arabesques”, touching the audience to tears. Each finalist received a piano as a gift.
