A young man with Down syndrome named Andrew spent several years learning to dance and eventually took part in the British TV show “The Greatest Dancer”.
Andrew’s mother shared that he became interested in dancing at the age of 11 after watching a similar dance show on TV. He could listen to music and dance for hours. “Dancing helped Andrew gain self-confidence, and his self-esteem noticeably increased,” she recalls.
The 21-year-old contestant chose Justin Timberlake’s song “Can’t stop the feeling” for his performance. The lyrics include the words: “But you dance, dance, dance, and nobody’s gonna leave, so keep dancing.”
During his performance, Andrew received thunderous applause from the audience, and not only the spectators, but also the judges had tears in their eyes.
