Colin Stier, 70, a resident of Plymouth, England, didn’t even anticipate that his home could have such a deep well.
According to him, the house was built around 1895. He moved to this house in 1988.
Colin said that 10 years ago, while he was decorating the house, the floor appeared to be sagging near the window.
It looked like someone had been buried here or there might be a sinkhole. He decided to dig in here to clear up doubts.
Excavations uncovered centuries-old swords, coins and rings from inside the well.
He said objects recovered from inside the well show it could be around 500 years old.
According to the report received, Stoer said the well is approximately 17 feet deep and approximately four to five feet wide. He said that after digging the well about five feet, an old sword was found.
Then, a piece dating from 1725 was also found. Additionally, a ring was also recovered from this well.
When they reached a depth of 17 feet, water came out of the well, after which the excavation continued, bringing out the mud. In such a situation, it is very difficult to dig deeper.
