The family’s new pet is a fluffy and clumsy dog named Diego.
Its breed could not be identified – it had features of more than one breed.

The test showed that Diego was mainly a pit bull and a partially Australian shepherd dog.

The analysis also revealed premature retinal aging in Diego, which invariably led to blindness.
A year later, Diego’s vision began to deteriorate and weakened every day.
The ophthalmologists were unable to help the animal and advised Diego’s family to find a companion to help the dog when he became completely blind.

And although according to Jane, the temperaments of her pets are completely different – Dixie is energetic and curious, and Diego is typically introverted and shy – they get along very well.
The arrival of a second dog in the house had a positive effect on Diego.
The sister takes care of the brother and helps him navigate the space he sees worse every day.
It is not known how long the dog will still be sighted, but the family can be calm – there is an assistant next to him, they have not been able to find anyone better than her.
