This adorable dog had been living on the streets for over eight years, during which time it had accumulated many health problems and had been through a lot. However, despite its hardships, it still wore a happy smile on its muzzle. One day, some people decided to help it.
This charming creature was found on the streets of Houston, a city in the United States. When local shelter workers were notified about the dog, they immediately went to retrieve it and began searching for its owners. After interviewing local residents, they discovered that the dog had been homeless and living on the streets for nearly eight years. Its story remains unknown, as only one woman recognized it and occasionally fed it.
They took the dog to the shelter, named him Bear, and started his recovery. Initially, he had huge mats on his fur, which they removed first. In addition, they found that the dog had heartworm and lymphoma – a malignant tumor. Then the vets gave him the first sad prognosis, that he had from three to 12 months left. But Bear had other plans.
At the shelter, the dog received active treatment and all necessary procedures. After a couple of months of careful care and treatment, a miracle happened – remission. Bear’s tumor went away. “Now Bear is seen by a veterinarian every week. He has been in remission for several months now. Currently, there are no signs of a tumor, and he is doing great!” – write the employees who take care of the dog.
You just have to look at the happy muzzle of Bear, and everything is clear without words. He has already been through a lot, but the “smile” does not leave his muzzle, and he is a very cheerful, happy, and kind boy. All these few months Bear has been living in a temporary care place with one of the shelter’s volunteers. But the guardian and her family fell so in love with this handsome boy that they decided to keep him with them forever!
Now Bear is doubly happy – and charges everyone around him with his positivity and love for life: “It’s impossible to imagine that this sweet boy has been living on the streets for most of his life. He shows everyone that life is beautiful, and it goes on no matter what. He gives us an incentive to live,” says the owner.
