Thanks to their anatomy and flexibility, snakes can penetrate many places that we think are inaccessible. Sometimes this plays a cruel trick on them, as in the case of this python.
Residents of the Northern Rivers area in Australia called a plumber to check the patency of pipes in the house. At first, the plumber could not understand why one of the pipes was clogged – and found out only after dividing the pipe into parts. He saw a python curled up there!

Initially, the python apparently crawled up the pipe, but then decided to change route and turn back – but accidentally ‘folded in half’ and got stuck. Residents of the house immediately contacted animal rescuers and a local snake specialist arrived. He had to take the pipe with the python to himself to free it safely with tools.

After a while, thanks to the efforts of the rescuer, the python was free! At first, the snake hardly moved and did not even react to touch. But after a warm bath, removal of several parasites, lunch and staying in a comfortable aviary, everything changed. The python cheered up and began to move.

The python was then taken into the care of the local veterinary clinic. Once the recovery period had passed, the python was safely released back into the wild – and it must have been grateful to the entire team of its rescuers, starting with the plumber.
