Seeing animals in pain and suffering is something that always makes my heart ache. The internet is full of videos of sick and starving animals. In many cases, they are filmed by an organisation that helps them. But it’s still terribly sad to see an animal that has never hurt anyone. That’s why this video touched my heart strings in the beginning. Two men stumble upon a white balloon that appears to be floating down the Maza Jugla River in Latvia. They decide to investigate and discover that it is two adult swans that have become entangled in each other, presumably while fighting over territory. However, they got so entangled that they couldn’t free themselves and sat there, suffering, for an unknown amount of time. See how these two guys were able to save the swans from a terrible fate.
These guys have a lot of courage to deal with this situation. Swans are known as very aggressive birds. Even when they are so confused, I don’t know if I would have wanted to get that close to them. They have a reputation for chasing people, beating them with their wings and biting them with their sharp beaks. From what I’ve heard, it’s very painful. However, that hasn’t stopped these two from doing all they can to help these poor animals. These two are true wildlife heroes.
