Passersby noticed a restless dog running in the darkness right next to the railroad tracks. The poor thing looked like it was looking for someone or waiting for someone.
Residents of Southern California, USA, spotted this dog right by the railroad tracks. The dog was pacing back and forth, as if it was waiting for someone. As soon as they approached, the poor thing got scared and immediately pulled away. At the same time, the dog looked good and had kind eyes.

Local employees said the dog had been wandering around for days. They had left food for the animal and assumed that it had simply been abandoned – because no one came back for it. Passersby contacted the shelter – and volunteers arrived that same day. But catching the dog wasn’t that easy.

The dog was still afraid, so the volunteers had to set a humane trap – a cage with food. According to the volunteer, she spoke to the dog in a gentle tone for a long time, trying to lure it into the cage, but it was relentless. The rescuers decided to leave the cage overnight, hoping the dog would get hungry and go inside. The next morning they arrived and saw the doggie there! It was finally safe.

The dog is now at the shelter. It was named Ribbles and is slowly getting used to its new environment. The dog is in good health, but has obvious psychological problems and fears. A rehoming facility is being found for Ribbles, where it will finally feel like a beloved pet and learn what true love is all about. When Ribbles is ready, they will find permanent owners for it.

Be happy, beautiful girl!
