Passers-by saw this dog near a residential area. It turned out that the owners had moved elsewhere and left it here with puppies, or even pregnant.

This dog was spotted by residents of the American city of St Louis near a residential area. It turned out that she had recently had a family, but they had moved elsewhere and decided to get rid of her by simply throwing her out into the street. Since then, the dog had been living like that, scavenging in the nooks and crannies. But kind people decided to report her to the SRSL rescue centre.

A volunteer called Donna arrived on the scene the same day. When she drove up, she immediately saw the dog. But apart from her, she noticed someone else looking at her curiously from behind the fence… They were two puppies. Donna determined that they were six to eight weeks old.

The mother dog turned out to be trusting and was quickly petted. However, the puppies were very afraid of people – apparently not used to them yet. The rescuer managed to catch the puppies only after several attempts – but luckily the whole family was soon safe. The family was taken to the vet.

The mother and puppies were both in good health – they were just a little underweight. They were quickly placed in a rehoming facility. They are now safe and warm, learning to live with people and finally realising what real love and care means. All the dogs will soon find permanent homes. Thank you for your kindness!
