A food delivery worker accidentally spotted a little dog right by the roadside – she was scared for it, and immediately stopped to help.
A US resident who works in a food delivery service accidentally saw a stray dog by the roadside. The frightened dog was wandering along the road and almost got hit by a truck. The woman immediately stopped at the side of the road to help the dog.
She immediately noticed that the dog looked a lot like her dog, who had recently passed away. “I saw this dog on the side of the road, it was wandering right next to a passing truck. It was so small and immediately reminded me of my former dog,” she said.
When she approached the dog, it approached her trustingly – and seemed happy to be noticed. The woman took the dog to the vet that day to have it checked for a microchip. There was no microchip – which meant the dog was definitely homeless. Apart from the tangles in its fur, it was in good health.
The woman decided that day that it was destiny. She took the dog with her, named it Stitch, and began to look after it. After the haircut and bath, the dog was unrecognisable, and Stitch was very grateful to its new owner for saving it.
Now Stitch is happy with the loving owner and she loves Stitch dearly! “At first it was a bit timid, it didn’t even know how to play with toys. But then it turned into the most wonderful dog. It often brings us toys and asks for affection, and fills our lives with great joy!” – says the owner.
