There was a time when Max was just a street dog who was rescued from abuse. Sidewalk Specials took it in, and the dog was riddled with mange and as skinny as could be.
You could easily see his ribs. But it would have to be kept isolated from other dogs due to infectious scabies.
The poor dog howled and cried all day, every day in his doghouse. He knew that he wanted to be loved, although he had never experienced this feeling before.
And a kindhearted woman would come and take a chance with Max, and it was love from the first tickle!
Max and the cats would have to learn to get along during their initial period of adaptation, but now a good doggie is so happy and healthy and smiles in its sleep! How amazing.
