The poor dog was covered in tangles, unable to see or walk properly. It wandered down the street, no longer hoping that anyone would help it…
The tangled dog couldn’t see anything and couldn’t even move around properly. Its fur was so tangled it was hard to see the dog behind it… It is not known who put the dog in this condition. It was wandering the streets of the American city of St Louis, and luckily, kind people spotted the poor creature.
People contacted the local shelter, Stray Rescue of St. Louis, whose staff promptly picked up the dog. They, too, were shocked by its condition, but immediately set to work. Volunteers and doctors spent hours removing the enormous tangles from the dog’s coat. The procedure had to be done under anesthesia so that the dog would not be stressed.
Several kilograms of wool was removed from the dog. After this transformation, the volunteers saw a completely different dog. By the way, at the shelter, the dog got the nickname Crunchy. At first, after the procedure, Crunchy was nervous and wanted to hide all the time. The little one was afraid of the new surroundings, but thanks to the attentive and caring staff, it quickly became accustomed to everything.
Crunchy realized that no one was going to hurt it here. It was safe for it now. Soon it began to open up, play, and show its wonderful character: “We’ll never forget the day it began to show interest and play in everything,” the volunteers recalled. A little later, when Crunchy recovered, loving owners were quickly found for it.
Crunchy is happy now – and living the life it never dreamed of a couple of months ago when it was picked up on the street. Thanks to kind people for saving this miracle!
