The shabby dog, covered in tangles, wandered down the street picking up scraps. The dog was very afraid of people – they must have treated it badly before.
Passers-by in Los Angeles noticed this shabby dog in the street. It was in a terrible state, lost and hungry, and covered in tangles. They immediately reported it to the local shelter, Logan’s Legacy, and volunteers arrived that same day. Apparently, the dog had been chased and treated badly – because the poor thing was afraid of people…
Volunteers tried to approach the dog and take it – but it kept running away. They even used humane traps with food to lure it in, but it was no use – the dog was so intimidated that it was afraid to go near it. The attempts to catch the dog lasted for a fortnight. Only then was the volunteer finally able to pick it up and put it in the car.
When the dog was in the car, it looked as if it was smiling. It was so happy to be rescued that it could not hide its gratitude for the first time in a long time. And its fears receded when it realised that no one would hurt it here. The dog was brought to the shelter and given the name Worth.
At the shelter, Worth was fed, bathed and given a haircut. After the haircut, it was as if the dog was a different dog, and it immediately became cheerful, shedding the heavy tangles. The dog is currently in the care of volunteers, but Worth has already met potential owners who fell in love with it after seeing its photos. It will soon be on its way to a new home.
