A little puppy was found in the street, living all alone in an old box with a blanket. Later people realized that the baby was not alone there. Several other puppies were found nearby, and the mother dog was not there.
In the Mexican city of Tijuana, a lonely puppy was found living in a box with no mother nearby. Caring people reported the baby to local shelters, and the owner of the Frankie Lola and Friends shelter immediately volunteered to help. She got the message at night, and was planning to go out in the morning to pick up the puppy, when suddenly she got another message…
It turned out there was more than one puppy. Later five more puppies were found nearby, but the mother dog was never found. In the morning, a shelter employee picked up all the babies and took them to a safe place. Unfortunately, the poor little creatures were skinny and tiny – the shelter volunteers were shocked at how the babies had been living without their mother all this time. They determined that the pups were 7-8 weeks old.
The shelter team began to actively care for the puppies, giving them the necessary medicine around the clock and feeding them on a schedule. Within a few days the puppies began to eat and play a lot and gained weight. And three weeks later, they weighed twice as much and had fully recovered.
Then the volunteers found a shelter for the puppies and immediately took one of them to a loving family. The other puppies live in a temporary care place, but the volunteers hope that very soon they will find permanent owners.
