In the morning, an alarming barking sounded in the yard of Larry and Kerry Ruiz, a couple from California. Kerry went outside and saw a coyote running after the Chihuahua.
A few seconds later the coyote grabbed the small dog with its teeth and began to run away. At first the woman was confused and screamed: “The coyote got Chico!” Then she ran into the house to get a pneumatic siren. Such sirens are at all the doors in the house to scare away coyotes. Hearing the loud sound, the coyote let the dog out of its mouth.
Chico was taken to the vet. The dog was found to have puncture wounds and a broken rib. After a few weeks, Chico recovered. Now the owners don’t leave their pet unsupervised. Watch the video from the home security camera.
