HOW A MAN HELPED A CHICK TO HATCH FROM AN EGG AND GROW

“I was in a pet shop and noticed a small egg on the floor of the parrot cage. It seemed strange to me, as there was only a male parrot sitting there. The shopkeeper told me that the female had recently been sold. Fortunately, he happily offered to let me have the egg,” said the pet shop customer.

A man decided to try raising a parrot from an egg. He put the egg in an incubator. On the fourth day he found out that the embryo was alive. The egg had to be turned three times a day to keep the growing chick from clinging to the shell.

The parrot hatched on day 19 in the hatchery. The man helped the newborn baby to get rid of its shell. The parrot was tiny and fragile. It needed constant care. It had to be fed at least eight times a day.

“I’ve never had a parrot before. I needed food. I studied all the information I could find about feeding a chick. The process was difficult,” the man recalls.

The chick, named Albert, grew up and learned to fly. A man, finding out that Albert’s father had not yet been sold, bought it. The birds now live together.

The whole process of the chick’s development was filmed on video. It’s been viewed 83 million times. Watch the video.
