Five ways to really help a stray animal

Often we do not pay any attention to stray animals, hungry and desperate, do not see them, eyes full of supplication and hope. But they deserve a different attitude. How can we help our four-legged friends to the best of our ability?

The surest way is to shelter your dog and cat yourself and give them a chance for a new, happy life.

At first it will be difficult for you, because the animal will keep its habits from the street and is not used to the house, but then it will get used to it and will answer you with loyalty and selfless love.

Give the animal food and water and, if possible, send it to a shelter.

Food and water are already a very significant help for animals, it is especially difficult for them in the summer heat and winter frosts. If there are shelters in your city, it is better to negotiate with one of the staff. The conditions, of course, are not ideal, but better than a hungry and cold existence.

You can provide all possible financial assistance to the shelter

Even if you have very modest financial resources, then you can donate very little and this will already be a significant help, since it is such modest donations that accumulate in decent amounts and are enough for treatment and food for animals.

And if you can’t help with money, you can become a volunteer. After all, animals are so sad in open-air cages and so do not have enough love and care.

If you cannot become a permanent owner of a pet, then take it for overexposure

Many stray animals require overexposure until they are settled into a permanent home. Overexposure can often be paid for, but real animal lovers usually refuse money.

Create your own animal rescue action

For example, as a gift for a holiday, ask one of the donors instead of a gift for yourself, your beloved, for help for some shelter. You can take a picture of the animal and make a post on social networks or organize a fundraiser among your friends.

And most importantly, do not be indifferent to living beings in trouble.
