Dogs in the house called 911 sixteen times while their owners were at work

Police officers arrived at a house in Lakeville, Minnesota, after sixteen 911 calls from there in less than an hour.

But only to discover that there were two dogs there, desperately calling out to authorities.

The dogs were home alone while their owners were at work.

However, they must have had a “hard” day.

The dogs in the house called 911 sixteen times while their owners were at work.

Officers were sent to investigate after only barking could be heard on the other end of the line.

As no one was home, the officers were confused. So Officer Michelle Roberts contacted the owners. In this way, they were able to get into the garage.

After “investigating”, it turned out that there was still a mobile phone in the premises of the office.

From there, the dogs could call 911 simply by tapping the screen, as it was set to “emergency call only”.

“We assume the dogs were having a rough day and it was the dogs that were looking for help from 911,” Officer Roberts joked.

After the incident, the owner said he would never leave his phone unattended again!
