It is sad to realize that many animals ended up on the streets simply because their owners decided to get rid of them that way. Unfortunately, blind Adriano was left alone for the same reason. His owner was just walking him, and at one point she threw him over the fence into someone else’s yard.
This sad scene took place right in the center of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cameras on the street caught a woman walking her dog, a cocker spaniel. Suddenly she picked him up and threw him into someone else’s yard right over the fence. The poor dog didn’t understand why he was left alone, and he was also blind.
Here is what was written in the letter: “My name is Adriano. I am 14 and have been blind for three years. I am not neutered. I am very kind, I don’t bite other animals or people. Don’t feed me food from the table – it makes me sick. I can not eat bones.” A little later the owners of the house saw the letter and found the dog in the yard. They immediately contacted the shelter to get the dog taken care of.
The shelter staff picked up Adriano, began caring for him, and showed him what true love was all about. “He was abandoned like his life had no meaning, like he understood nothing, like a plush toy,” the shelter staff wrote on social media.
When Adriano recovered from his experience, they began to look for permanent owners for him. Fortunately, they did not have to wait long. A kind woman decided to take him into her family, and now he lives happily with her – and finally understands what it is like to be a beloved pet.
