This is an adult cat that looks like a kitten and weighs barely 1.6 kg. He will never grow up because of a rare condition called hypoparathyroidism.
Passers-by discovered him in the park and took him to the veterinary clinic where his owner was working at the time. He appeared to be approximately 3-4 months old. His owner took care of him for a week.
But since no one wanted to take the kitten home, she decided to leave him for good.
Everything was OK until the cat became ill at the end of December. The owner rushed him to the doctor right away.
Everything became evident much later, as did the fact that the infant needed lifetime maintenance with calcium and vitamin D-containing medications.
According to the cat’s owner, he appears to be a typical kitten. On the other hand, there are days when he is silent and scarcely plays.
This is all owing to his disease, which frequently presents as lethargy and fever. ‘He’s a very loving kitten.’ ‘If he wants my attention, he crawls onto my lap, loves to sleep with me, and rubs his snout on my face,’ the owner said of her pet.
